Hamish is Channel 4’s Head of Documentaries and head of the digital channel More4. He joined Channel 4 in 2001 as commissioning editor, history. By 2004 he was Head of Specialist Factual and in 2008 moved to the Documentaries department, and shortly after also took over as Head of More4.

Before being appointed to his current role Lansdown was an executive producer for factual independents, working primarily on BBC3 formats and features.
